This busy Owings Mills, MD family needs a fun, active and educated Live-In Family Assistant/Some Nanny Duties to help keep the household running smoothly and help care for a 16 year old, 12 year old and 10 year old. The ideal candidate should have an excellent driving record, be comfortable working with a team to manage the household, help with laundry, errands and doing drop off/pick up. The schedule is Tuesday – Saturday with a need for flexibility and the ability to travel with family including internationally. Excellent salary and benefits offered!

Couple – Grosse Point, MI

Elderly Couple in Grosse Point, Michigan is looking for a full-time/Live-on the property Domestic Couple.

Duties:  Cooking, enjoy the gardens with the principals, drive principals to doctors appointment, personal assisting, maintain correspondence and social events, computer work, organizing closets, dry cleaning, know to set a nice table, carry on a respectable conversation, oversee outside contractors, work with housekeeping staff,  take the Mrs. shopping, maintain a relationship with the children (e-mailing and phone conversations),etc.

This is live on the property position (apartment separate from the home on the property).  Nice salary, benefits.

This position would be ideal for someone who had a nursing background.

Long Island/House Manager – Two Homes


The Property Manager is responsible for helping the Director with whatever tasks need to be accomplished. He/she will take a leading role in preventive maintenance and repair management of the Long Island properties. The Property Manager will assume full responsibility of the property, grounds, vehicles and staff when the Director is not working and will serve as a point of contact for the Family.

The Property Manager is a team player and can take direction. He/she is responsible for preserving the safety of the Family, their guests, and other staff members. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive personality. Responsibilities can be broken down into three categories: Management/Operations, Maintenance, and Household.

The Property Manager will be required to work (and report to work) at the Glen Head, VF and/or Southampton locations as needed. The Property Manager must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds.

Management/Operations Responsibilities

Management/Operations duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Director in all operations responsibilities.
  • Directly manage the Housemen.
  • Assist with training new staff/summer staff.
  • Inspect residences, grounds, and vehicles for damage / coordinate repair.
  • In Director’s absence, take responsibility for appearance of properties and keep full awareness of what is going on with the Family and the properties.
  • Perform and/or direct set-up and breakdown of properties seasonally.
  • Receive and review proposals from contractors and submit those proposals to the Director or Principals for review.
  • Help with the staff house (i.e. making sure it is being cleaned, staff are in appropriate sleeping arrangements, staff are not abusing use of the house, providing permission for staff to have guests, contacting agent if things need to be fixed or are broken).
  • Assume full responsibility for principal’s cars and staff car (i.e. valid registration and insurance in the car, cleanliness, and maintenance).
  • Assist the Director in hiring all staff.
  • Assist in maintaining a close eye on the staff’s responsibilities on the property – ensure housekeeping is being done daily, top service is being provided, and that exterior grounds are in excellent condition.

Maintenance Responsibilities

The Property Manager is in charge of daily property maintenance, grounds, and vehicles. Maintenance duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all interior and exterior maintenance, projects, and repairs (includes HVAC, security systems, professional cleaning, plumbing, electronics, appliances, and AVIT) with appropriate vendors.
  • Oversee the operation, repairs, maintenance warranties, and routine maintenance checks required for the following systems: electric, HVAC, security, plumbing, audio/video, and appliances. Suggest changes that can be made to systems at each residence to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish a preventative maintenance program and schedule accordingly.
  • Have a constant awareness of pool and spa temperatures and propane level.
  • Build fires in fire pits and clean them post fire.
  • Take necessary precautions regarding weather conditions for the residences.
  • Arrange the beach sitting area and keep beach area clean when Family or guests are present.
  • Keep constant awareness of the property’s cleanliness and maintain a pristine environment, by picking up garbage on ground, cleaning up bird droppings, sweeping sand and dirt off decks, pulling weeds out of cracks, etc.
  • Open and close property daily.
  • Keep exterior buildings (i.e. garage, tennis court shed, pool house storage room) organized.
  • Clean up after outside activities (i.e. surf truck, fishing gear, kids toys, etc.).
  • Have a basic knowledge of using tools and specialty equipment to troubleshoot and fix minor issues on property.
  • Work with other staff members for interior and exterior projects as needed.

Household Responsibilities

The Property Manager will interact with the Family and help out with household tasks. Household duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with children and help the nannies when needed.
  • Note all updated Family preferences with outside activities, like knowing which surfboards each Family member likes to use.
  • Help to set up and break down parties and other events.

Assist with Family and guest arrivals and departures, for example, packing the vehicles, dropping off and picking up the Family and/or guests from the helicopter landing pad.

Housekeeper/Laundress/HM – Potomac, MD

Family of 5 (3 children 15,13,12) in Potomac MD is looking for a full-time Housekeeper/HM for their 10,000 square foot home.

Duties: Housekeeping, making beds, changing sheets, laundry, ironing, errands, organize, shopping sometimes, no cooking, greet outside contractors, clean-up after dinner.

This is a full time position with a negotiated salary .   This can be a live-in or live-out position.


Couple – Boston GA

Family is looking for a couple to care and do Hands-on Management on their large Plantation in Boston GA.  There are other staff members to work with and various buildings etc on the properties.

1. Family/Guest visits
a. Ensure that all homes and buildings are ready for arrival
b. Oversee all aspects of arrivals and departures, including ground transportation and luggage
c. Final walk through and check of residence and specific guest needs prior to arrival and during
d. Assist the hospitality coordinator (as needed) during family and guest’s time in residence,
remain on site during duration of stay; Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday and weekends during
the season (November through April)
2. Upkeep, clean and maintain:
a. Pool, hot tub and pool deck
b. Landscape
c. Decks and porches
d. Paths and walkways
e. Tennis areas
f. Guest House, Center Pavilion, Family Home and outer staff buildings
g. Wash all windows regularly
h. Interior and Exterior Lighting – all lighting working properly
i. Electrical system and generator system checked regularly
j. Irrigation systems – working properly, and as needed
k. Audio-visual systems are fully functional and working properly
l. Mechanical areas are checked regularly for proper function
m. Check all plumbing and drains
n. Check all heating and cooling and heat exchanger
o. Check all wells and filtration systems on a regular basis
p. Lake Linton – maintain appearance and duck feedings
q. Oversee all housekeeper and seasonal employees

3. Car Fleet
a. Family vehicles – keep all cars fully serviced, fueled up and clean at all times; properly store
during off- season
b. Staff vehicles – keep all golf carts fully serviced and charged; properly store during off-season
4. Waste Management
a. Oversee contracted vendors for waste removal, to ensure receptacles are emptied as agreed
upon in contracts
5. Vendor Management
a. Ensure that vendors are performing work properly and maintaining integrity of Jones’ Property
b. Conducting semi-annual review of contracts with respective vendors
c. Notify and keep Family Office abreast of all tasks


6. Upkeep, clean and maintain:
a. Daily inspection of house and grounds
b. Landscape
c. Decks and porches
d. Paths and walkways
e. Interior and Exterior Lighting – all lighting working properly
f. Mechanical areas are checked regularly for proper function
g. Regular inspection of outer buildings, including barn, kennel, garage, storage buildings and
onsite staff housing (coordinate with Ray Bearden)
h. Check all wells and filtration systems on a regular basis

Draft, edit and submit annual operating budget for all expenses under House, Buildings and Grounds

Supervise special projects including, but not limited to:
a. Pool deck repair
b. Sand and recoat all ipe decks
c. Clean and apply teak/tongue oil to all outdoor furniture
d. Supervise summer plantings
e. Sand and apply sickens stain to main and guest house, and siding at staff and kitchen.
f. Sand all of the patch
g. Copper clad all chimneys
h. Coordinate renting movie theater
i. Exterior work and painting
j. Deep cleaning
k. Roof work


$120,000 salary and full benefits.
