Job Title: Household Manager

Job Summary: The Hands-on Household Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of a private household, ensuring all tasks related to household management, maintenance, and personal assistance are efficiently handled. This role involves a combination of responsibilities, including housekeeping, cooking,  oversee gardening, chauffeuring, and personal assistance to the household members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Housekeeping:
    • Perform thorough cleaning of all interior spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
    • Laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding clothes and linens.
    • Care for delicate materials and follow specific care instructions for high-end fabrics and furnishings.
  1. Cooking and Meal Preparation:
    • Plan and prepare meals according to the dietary preferences and requirements of the household members.
    • Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies.
    • Ability to cook a variety of cuisines, including formal dining for guests if required.
  1. Gardening and Outdoor Maintenance:
    • Oversee maintain outdoor spaces, including lawn care, gardening, and landscaping.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of pool, outdoor furniture, equipment, and structures.
    • Oversee irrigation systems and coordinate with external contractors for specialized tasks.
  1. Personal Assistance:
    • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel.
    • Coordination with external vendors
    • Feeding and walking pets, as well as cleaning up after (1 small dog)
  1. Chauffeuring:
    • Drive principal to appointments, social engagements, and other destinations as required.
    • Maintain vehicles in a clean and well-functioning condition.
    • Ensure adherence to traffic rules and regulations at all times.
  1. Maintenance:
    • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs.
    • Call maintenance Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks or arrange for professional services when necessary.
  1. Hospitality and Guest Services:
    • Assist with hosting guests, including greeting visitors, serving refreshments, and ensuring their comfort during their stay.
    • Coordinate with external vendors for events and gatherings hosted at the residence.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a private household or luxury estate.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of basic household maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines preferred
